Philanthropy

Internationally, Alpha Phi's philanthropy unites every chapter by supporting women's heart health initiatives. Stevens Alpha Phi will organize various events on campus to raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation. Alpha Phi Foundation divides its donations into several categories including women's heart health, scholarships, and leadership programs. Over the last fiscal year alone, collegiate chapters raised over $2 million to support the Alpha Phi Foundation.
Alpha Phi Foundation
Mission: The Alpha Phi Foundation empowers women to be generous givers. The Foundation raises and awards funds for programs that advance leadership development, encourage academic excellence, improve women's heart health, support sisters in need, and educate about the value of philanthropy. Today, Alpha Phis continue to support local and national heart health units through Foundation Grants, monetary donations, and community service. Alpha Phis hold their philanthropy very close to their hearts.

Community Service
Members of Stevens Alpha Phi donate time to community service opportunities in Hoboken and around the world. Members are encouraged to follow their passions by selecting charitable organizations that align with their interest whether it be volunteering on a service trip to Jamaica or teaching elementary school students how to code, the sisters of Alpha Phi support those in need and give back to the community through service.
While Alpha Phis are involved in the local community, we are also dedicated to service on campus. Our chapter not only supports other Greek organizations and giving back in a number of ways. No matter which organization we are supporting, Alpha Phis are always there to lend a helping hand!
Heart Health Week and Cardiac Arrest
The Kappa Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi held our first Heart Health Week and Cardiac Arrest during American Heart Health month: February! The goal of Heart Health Week was to raise awareness on campus about Women's Heart Health and the importance of finding cures for heart disease. Each day we hosted events that encourage being heart healthy! To conclude Heart Health Week we host Cardiac Arrest; a competition among the different Greek Organizations at Stevens to release their President from jail through minute-to-win-it games with all proceeds going to the Alpha Phi Foundation.
